Camper Fire Under Investigation in Colchester

COLCHESTER, CT - At 10:23 P.M. on Saturday, August 9th, the Colchester Fire Department was dispatched to an unknown type fire in the area of the Lincoln Lake Lodge on Levy Road, called in by Lifestar Helicopter. Engine 128 arrived at 10:26 P.M., reporting a well-involved camper and requested a re-tone for manpower. Engine 1 stretched a 1.75” hose line while Car 128 established command. Engine 328 provided manpower for overhaul, while Tanker 128 staged in case they were needed. The Colchester Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating. This property has been the scene of multiple suspicious fires in the past.
