Fire, EMS, police and utility personnel responded after a vehicle rolled over and struck a utility pole on August 9, 2026, in the City of Newburgh, New York.
The City of Newburgh Fire Department responded to the crash and found the driver already out of the vehicle. Firefighters checked the overturned vehicle for hazards while Empress EMS evaluated the driver.
City of Newburgh Police handled the scene and began investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash. Central Hudson was also requested to evaluate the damaged utility pole and any associated electrical hazards.
No extrication was required, and the available information does not indicate whether the driver was transported to a hospital. No additional fire departments were identified as assisting at the scene.
