Overturned Vessel Response Leads to Safe Rescue of Four Occupants

Westport, MA - The Westport Fire Department responded alongside the Harbormaster and Police to a report of an overturned vessel near the mouth of Westport Harbor with four individuals in the water.
A nearby boater assisted two of the occupants, while the Harbormaster rescued the remaining individuals from the water. All four were evaluated on scene by firefighter/paramedics and found to be in good condition.
Support operations included drone assistance from the Police Department, jet ski response from Horseneck Beach lifeguards, and shoreline observation by Cherry & Webb lifeguards. Additional support was provided by DCR and dispatch personnel.
