Edgartown, MA. — July 23 — The evening vehicle fire was promptly contained by the Edgartown Fire Department, located at 68 Peases Point Way S. When firefighters arrived, they discovered a passenger car on fire. They used hose lines to put out the fire and stop it from spreading to adjacent property.

Crews guarded the area, looked for any hot spots on the car, and helped until it was removed. There were no reported injuries. According to first reports, the cause of the fire was unknown and it was still limited to the car. After firefighters verified the area was secure, the problem was resolved and regular traffic was allowed to resume.
