Ledyard, CT. — July 15 — When a car veered off the road and hit a power pole, Ledyard Fire Company, Fairway Dr., was called to the 500 block of Pumpkin Hill Road. In addition to securing the area, firefighters assessed the occupant, managed vehicle dangers, and collaborated with the local utility company and police enforcement. While workers examined and repaired the damaged pole, traffic was momentarily disrupted.

Until the car was removed and the road was deemed safe for traffic, emergency personnel stayed on the scene. The crash's cause is still being looked into. Responding authorities did not immediately provide any more details on injuries or contributing circumstances.
