Danbury, CT - The Danbury Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire in the Aunt Hack area, where arriving crews encountered heavy fire conditions involving an attached garage.

Firefighters quickly deployed a transitional attack, applying water from the exterior to rapidly knock down the bulk of the fire before advancing inside to complete suppression and check for extension. Their quick actions prevented the fire from spreading into the main living areas of the home.

During operations, one firefighter sustained minor injuries and was transported to the hospital for evaluation and treatment.

The fire is currently under investigation by the Fire Marshal’s Office.
