Warwick, R.I. — July 5 — Canteen 1 was sent to a third-alarm structure fire at 178 Deer Run Road in Tiverton by the Special Signal Fire Association/Providence Canteen, 100 Minnesota Ave., Warwick, RI 02888. During prolonged suppression efforts, the unit responded with the Tanker Task Force and offered refreshments, hydration, and firefighter rehabilitation.

In order to contain the fire and assist with water supply operations, mutual help departments from Rhode Island and southeast Massachusetts collaborated. The coordinated reaction made clear how crucial regional alliances and rehabilitation programs are to preserving firefighter readiness, safety, and operational efficacy during protracted emergency situations.
