The Muddy Brook Fire Department thanked volunteers for their work over the holiday weekend by recognizing those who took part in the East Woodstock Fourth of July Jamboree Parade and Water Polo event.

Members of the Bungay Fire Brigade, Woodstock Volunteer Fire Association Station 76, and Muddy Brook Fire Department helped with equipment preparation, participated in the annual water polo competition, marched in the parade, and cleaned up afterward. In advance of the Independence Day celebration, the agency also thanked volunteers for revitalizing the community's Memorial Garden.
