Dennys River Firefighters Responded to Church Fire

Dennysville, ME — July 19 — The Dennys River Volunteer Fire Department, 58 King Street, responded to a reported structure fire at the Dennysville Edmunds Congregational Church, 17 King Street. Firefighters arrived and began suppression operations while mutual aid departments provided additional personnel, apparatus, and water supply support. Crews worked together to bring the fire under control, and the structure remained standing despite sustaining fire damage.
No injuries were reported. The response demonstrated the value of mutual aid partnerships, allowing neighboring departments to share resources and maintain effective fireground operations. After completing suppression and overhaul activities, responding units cleared the scene and returned to service for additional emergency calls.
