Harrington Fire Department Recognized Mutual Aid Partners

Harrington, ME — July 17 — The community members and mutual aid organizations that assisted firemen during a structure fire response were acknowledged by the Harrington Volunteer Fire Department, U.S. Highway Route 1A. The Maine Forest Rangers, Pleasant River Ambulance, Bold Coast Ambulance, Versant, Addison Fire Department, Epping Fire Department, Cherryfield Fire Department, and other local responders provided assistance.


Throughout the disaster, their joint efforts supplied more staff, equipment, medical coverage, and utility support. Residents who provided drinking water to workers in hot weather were also recognized by the agency. Firefighters were able to safely handle the situation and continue to conduct efficient emergency operations thanks to strong mutual aid agreements and community support.
