President David Russell of FIRE & SAFETY SERVICES, Ltd., South Plainfield, N.J and PIERCE MANUFACTURING, has committed to another year in support of the Burn Foundation. This is Dave’s and Fire & Safety Services’ 21st year of support for which the Burn Foundation is extremely grateful. His dedication and support of the Burn Foundation has helped the burn care and burn patient communities going back to the new millennium.

Artist Joseph Getsinger will again be presenting an original, limited-edition Burn Foundation image for 2022 at the Wildwood Firemen’s Convention on September 16th and 17th of this year. Joe will be attending the convention again, helping with raffle tickets and collector pins, and he will gladly answer questions about how the idea for the art came about for 2022 and how it was executed on canvas in acrylics.

The Burn Foundation was established in 1973 to provide fundraising for the emerging specialty for the treatment of burn injuries. The foundation was formed with the mission to provide assistance to burn patients, their families and the institutions that treat them. Over the years, the four regional Burn Centers at Crozer Chester Medical Center, St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children, Temple University Hospital and Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, their patients, families, and staff, have all benefited from contributions raised at various events throughout the years. But no event is more important than the annual NJ State Firefighters’ Convention in Wildwood. It is the Burn Foundation’s most important fundraiser, and Joe Getsinger’s art has been a major influence in the foundation’s successful fundraising efforts in Wildwood for 42 years.

We owe a debt of gratitude to FIRE & SAFETY SERVICES, Ltd., and President David Russell for their continuing support of the Burn Foundation and Joe Getsinger’s art.

We all look forward to seeing everyone in Wildwood this September 16th and 17th, 2022.
