West Milford Fire Dept Responds to Fully Involved Structure Fire

The West Milford Fire Department responded to a 3rd alarm structure fire Monday afternoon. No one was home when the fire broke out. Neighbors and passerby’s rescued 2 dogs from inside the home. Upon arrival the structure was fully involved extending to the bravo exposure. First arriving units deployed handlines protecting the exposure. All 6 township fire companies responded along with mutual aid assistance from surrounding towns. 1 firefighter was injured and transported to the hospital. The fire is under investigation by the West Milford Fire Marshal.
