Car Vs. Tree with Fire on State Route 32 in Newburgh

NEWBURGH, NY - Cronomer Valley FD responded to a vehicle into a tree with fire at 468 State Route 32 on July 31st. Firefighters arrived, stretched a hand line and extinguished
the fire. Two subjects were transported to Montefiore-St. Luke's Hospital by Town of Newburgh EMS. Firefighters hit hot spots on the vehicle until it was free from danger. Cronomer Valley Command requested Plattekill FD to the scene to supply their engine with additional water. The Town of Newburgh Police Dept. is investigating the cause.
