RIT Assignment Supports Crews at Working Fire with Reported Entrapment

Exeter TWP, PA - The Exeter Township Volunteer Fire Department responded to Kenhorst Borough to serve as the Rapid Intervention Team (RIT) for a reported working structure fire with possible entrapment.

Upon arrival, crews established a RIT position, staging equipment and preparing for immediate deployment to support interior firefighting operations if needed. As suppression efforts progressed, firefighters maintained readiness to assist with firefighter rescue or emergency intervention.

All occupants were ultimately accounted for, and primary crews brought the fire under control without the need for RIT activation. Once the incident was stabilized, units were released from the scene.
