Valley Stream, N.Y. — 4th July — A garage fire on East Avenue was reported in the evening, and the Department Valley Stream Volunteer Fire Department, located at 123 S. Central Ave., close to Sunrise Highway, responded. When Engine 341 and Tower Ladder 345 arrived first, they discovered a garage fire. In order to stop the flames from spreading to adjacent buildings, firefighters swiftly contained the fire by stretching a single hose line.

Before resuming service, crews finished overhaul procedures, guarded the area, and looked for any concealed hot spots. There were no reported injuries. During the holiday season, the reaction showed excellent fireground teamwork, well-coordinated business operations, and an efficient initial fire attack.
