Bethpage, N.Y. — July 15 — The Bethpage incident Department, located at 225 Broadway, Bethpage, NY 11714, was called to an unidentified incident on Hillcrest Road that was later determined to be a home fire. When firefighters arrived, they discovered that a shed fire had spread to neighboring trees, brush, and about 60 feet of plastic fencing.

The Wantagh Fire Department and Farmingdale Hook, Ladder & Hose Company No. 1 crews helped contain the fire. No injuries were recorded, and just minimal damage was done to the back of the adjoining house. Coordination of the mutual help reaction prevented the fire from spreading, safeguarded nearby structures, and carefully restored the scene.
