House Undergoing Renovations in Fall River Heavily Damaged by Fire

FALL RIVER, MA - On July 19th, firefighters responded to 267 Beattie Street for a report of black smoke inside a home. When firefighters arrived, fire was venting from the windows on the west side of the one-and-a-half-story home. The new owners were in the process of renovating the home and had left for the day when they were notified that the house was on fire. Firefighters quickly knocked down the fire, but not before considerable damage had occurred. The Fire Investigation unit is trying to determine origin and cause of this fire.
