Shirley, N.Y- On June 15th 2024 at about 2:35 PM the Suffolk County Emergency dispatch center in Yaphank dispatched the Suffolk County Police 7th Precinct officers and the Shirley Ambulance Company to a vehicle crash on McGraw St off William Floyd Parkway. On arrival 1st Assistant Chief of Shirley Ambulance Marc Lampert (5-38-31} found a 2 car MVA with multiple injuries. He was joined a short time later on scene by a crew from Stony Brook Hospital Ambulance Medic 65.
On arrival the crew from Medic 65 went to work assessing 1 patient. While they were doing that Chief Lampert checked on the occupants of the other vehicle and directed his ambulance crew from 5-38-17 to pull on to the shoulder of the William Floyd Parkway. The crew of Shirley Ambulance 17 went and checked out the occupants of the 2nd vehicle . Atleast 2 people were taken to a local hospital. Injuries did not appear to be serious or Life Threatening. The scene was turned over to police and all units were back in service in an hour or less.
