POPLAR RIDGE, NY - During the evening of June 21st, the Poplar Ridge Fire Department responded to a barn fire. To support fire suppression efforts, nearby departments offered mutual aid. Once the main body of fire was under control, firefighters collaborated to limit the fire damage, safeguard surrounding property, and finish overhaul operations. The cause of the fire was still being looked into, and no injuries were reported.
