Norwalk, Conn. — July 13 — The City of Norwalk Fire Department responded to a structure fire on July 13. Fire crews were dispatched after reports of a fire at a building in the city.

Initial arriving firefighters found smoke and fire coming from the structure and began an interior fire attack while crews searched the building. The fire was brought under control after a coordinated response by multiple fire department units, including engines, ladder trucks and a rescue company.

No information on the building occupancy, the number of displaced residents or any injuries was immediately available.

The Norwalk Fire Marshal Division is investigating the cause of the fire. Additional details are expected to be released as the investigation continues.
