WPVFD Assists at Second-Alarm Structure Fire in Manchester

Pawlet, VT - The West Pawlet Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to provide station coverage at the Dorset Fire Station while their crews operated at a reported structure fire in Manchester.


While responding to the standby assignment, the department’s role was upgraded to the active incident, with multiple apparatus directed to the scene as part of the second alarm assignment.


Upon arrival, West Pawlet personnel assisted with fire suppression efforts and conducted overhaul operations to ensure complete extinguishment. Crews operated under challenging conditions, working through elevated temperatures alongside mutual aid partners.


Following completion of operations, units were reassigned to provide coverage for the Manchester district before ultimately returning to service.
