Weston, MA. — June 26 — The Weston Fire Department responded to a second-alarm structure fire at 15 Westcliffe Road. After arriving at the area, firefighters started suppression efforts, and other companies were asked to assist with the situation. In order to guarantee sufficient manpower throughout the operation, mutual assistance departments helped with fire attack, water supply, ventilation, and overhaul.
While maintaining emergency coverage in nearby communities, the coordinated regional response supplied more staff and equipment. Before the situation was under control, workers stayed on the scene to put out hot spots and check for fire extension. The cause of the fire is still being looked into.
