This article is a direct street report from our correspondent and has not been edited by the 1st Responder newsroom.

Weston, MA. — June 10 — The Weston Fire Department was called to the Pine Brook Country Club area on Newton Street due to an unconscious cyclist. Before emergency personnel arrived, firefighters en route to the Massachusetts Department of Fire Services Fire Academy for recruit training had already begun CPR. Using an AED and other advanced life support techniques, Weston firefighters and EMTs maintained patient treatment and restored a pulse.

Pro EMS paramedics administered more care, and Boston MedFlight was called in. Before being airlifted to Massachusetts General Hospital, the patient was taken to a landing zone on Route 30. The coordinated reaction demonstrated how well the fire, police, EMS, and air medical workers worked together.
