Castleton, VT. — July 4 — Castleton Volunteer Fire Department firefighters arrived at 1254 Cedar Mountain Road to support a multi-agency rescue effort. Utility 1 and its trailer, a side-by-side, and Engine 6 were sent to the location by the department. The utility vehicle was not utilized after responders arrived and discovered the rescue site could only be reached on foot.

To safely approach the patient and finish the rescue, firefighters collaborated with other emergency personnel. Everyone involved received assistance without any reported injuries, highlighting the need of well-coordinated mutual help, efficient communication, and collaboration in remote rescue operations.
