A tree that had fallen into power lines and caught fire prompted the Proctorsville Volunteer Fire Department to react to a portion of 20 Mile Stream Road on July 30.
Firefighters temporarily blocked the route and diverted traffic over Johnson route as engines 1 and 2 responded. It was requested that Green Mountain Power fix the power cables.
By around 7:30 p.m., the incident had been resolved and the road had been reopened.
