Nashua, NH - Nashua Fire Rescue responded to a townhouse fire on Cortez Drive in Westgate Crossing, where smoke was visible from a middle unit.
The homeowner extinguished the fire before crews arrived. Firefighters secured the scene, ventilated the structure, and checked for extension.
Two occupants and two cats were safely evacuated after working smoke detectors alerted them. One resident was evaluated for smoke inhalation but declined transport.
The cause was a failed aftermarket lithium battery charger.
