Berlin, N.H. — July 26 — Following a reported motorcycle crash including an ejection, Berlin IAFF Local 1088 professional firefighters offered mutual-aid paramedic support. The Dartmouth Hitchcock Advanced Response Team (DHART) was asked to provide a medical helicopter due to the method of injury. Members of an Emergency Medical Responder course were among the early-arriving firefighters who informed the responding ambulance of patient updates.

Later, Berlin's advanced life support team asked Local 1088 for more paramedic help. Before being flown to a regional trauma center, the patient was packed and transferred by ground to Androscoggin Valley Hospital in Berlin. Coordinated care across several agencies was part of the response.
