Clinton, CT - The Clinton Volunteer Fire Department responded to a reported boat fire south of Duck Island on Long Island Sound, operating alongside multiple fire and police agencies.

Crews arrived to find a 42-foot vessel with light smoke showing. All occupants had already been safely removed by an off-duty CVFD member who was in the area aboard a personal vessel.

Firefighters and marine units worked together to manage the incident and safely escort the vessel to port. The quick actions of responders helped ensure the situation remained under control with no reported injuries.
