Mutual Aid Response Addressed Mercer Avenue Electrical Hazard

East Pittsburgh, PA. — June 21 — When an electrical accident occurred on Mercer Avenue, firefighters from Wilkins Township Volunteer Fire Company No. 3, 109 Powell St., arrived on mutual assistance. When an outlet inside a home was reported to be arcing and sparking, crews helped the Wilmerding Volunteer Fire Department and the Turtle Creek Fire Department.


Firefighters secured the area, assessed the building for fire dangers, and stayed until Duquesne Light arrived to handle the electrical issues. There were no reported casualties or fire extensions. In order to safely handle electrical mishaps and safeguard surrounding residents and property, the reaction emphasized the significance of coordinated mutual aid and utility support.
