Wyomissing Firefighters Handled Second-Alarm Structure Fire

Wyomissing, PA. — August 8 — The Wyomissing Fire Department visited Learning Ladder Academy to teach children about fire safety. Firefighters provided basic safety advice, answered questions, and introduced them to the equipment used in emergency circumstances. The children also took a close-up look at fire apparatus and got to know department staff. During the tour, students received a firsthand look at firefighting and the equipment used to keep the community safe.


From its offices at 1259 Penn Ave., the Wyomissing Fire Department provided emergency services and fire protection to the boro and its surroundings. In addition to teaching young children about preparedness, prevention, and safe emergency procedures, community fire safety visits helped firefighters establish rapport with the community.
