Tyrone, PA. — August 2 — Tyrone police asked Neptune Fire Company to put out a big outdoor fire. Responding were Engine 34, Captain 34, Utility 34, Engine 33, and Marshal 31. When Engine 34 arrived, it discovered a large pile of burning brush. As crews extended one crosslay for suppression, Captain 34 took over. Before going back to work, firefighters assessed the area and put out the fire. During the reaction, no issues were noted.

Operating out of 1701 Lincoln Ave. in Tyrone, Neptune Fire Company offered emergency services and fire protection to the boro and neighboring villages. The response demonstrated the department's capacity to manage external fires and assist nearby organizations upon request.
