East Pittsburgh, PA. — June 17 — A three-alarm business fire in Glassport was responded to on mutual assistance by firefighters from Wilkins Township Volunteer Fire Company No. 3, 109 Powell St. Alongside agencies from all throughout Allegheny County, crews helped with fireground operations, water delivery, and fire suppression. In order to safeguard surrounding structures and contain the fire, incident leaders organized a regional reaction.
While overhaul activities continued and personnel looked for any hot spots left, mutual help organizations stayed on the scene. There were no immediate reports of firefighter injuries. The response made clear how crucial regional collaboration and mutual assistance alliances are in the event of significant commercial fire situations that call for a big number of workers and equipment.
