Endwell, N.Y. — June 22 — After several people were killed in a three-alarm fire at the Knights Inn on East Main Street, the Endwell Fire Department, located at 3508 Country Club Rd., carried on with its activities. During the event, about 150 first responders from regional fire departments, EMS agencies, police enforcement, fire investigators, Town of Union Code Enforcement, and NYSEG collaborated.

While investigators looked into the cause, mutual aid workers dealt with fire control, search operations, and scene support. Strong local support for those impacted and the rescuers who handled the massive incident was demonstrated by community members' donations of food and other supplies for displaced residents and emergency workers.
