Endicott, N.Y. — June 18 — In response to a second-alarm working structure fire in Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania, Endicott Fire Department Engine 25-1, located at 224 Madison Ave., arrived on mutual assistance. As operations proceeded, firefighters assisted crews from many nearby agencies with suppression efforts. The response was a reflection of the long-standing mutual aid agreements that permit agencies on both sides of the New York-Pennsylvania border to exchange equipment and personnel in the event of more serious events.

According to fire officials, rapid resource deployment and coordinated responses supported event objectives while maintaining operational coverage. During major disaster situations, the assignment illustrated the value of regional cooperation in safeguarding people, property, and nearby towns.
