Bowmanstown, PA. — June 25 — A verified second-alarm industrial fire at 900 Delaware Avenue in Palmerton prompted the Bowmanstown Volunteer Fire Company to react on mutual aid. Firefighters supported firefighters already working at the location and helped with suppression operations. Under the second alert, more departments were sent out to supply water, equipment, and staff for the prolonged operation.
Neighboring agencies were able to manage complex and large-scale situations while maintaining sufficient staffing thanks to mutual aid responses. Until their assignment was over, Bowmanstown personnel collaborated with local fire departments. Personnel and equipment were discharged from the scene and put back into duty after activities were over, prepared for the next emergency response.
