Warwick, MA. — June 16 — While local firefighters continued to respond to an active emergency, Warwick Fire Department Engine 2 was sent to Winchester to provide station coverage. The task was a component of the regional mutual help system, which enables nearby departments to assist one another and preserve emergency response skills in the event that resources are few. Warwick firefighters were prepared to respond to any new events within Winchester's coverage area throughout the deployment.

Warwick's emergency protection was maintained at home through mutual aid agreements and coordinated planning with neighboring departments. Such station coverage assignments are a standard component of the fire service, enhancing operational readiness and collaboration among nearby fire departments while ensuring communities continue to receive prompt emergency response.
