ANDOVER, MA - Members of Andover Fire Rescue responded to a reported tractor-trailer fire on Route 93 South close to Interstate 495 on June 22nd. According to officials, when firefighters arrived, the tractor section of an eighteen-wheeler was completely engulfed in flames. With the help of other responding crews, Engine Company 3 swiftly established a hoseline and contained the fire before it could spread. Neither the driver nor the responding firefighters reported any injuries, and the driver was able to safely exit the vehicle. Crews remained on scene to put out any last hot spots and make sure the area was secure.
