North Hudson Promotes Seven Officers

WEST NEW YORK, NJ - In front of family, fellow firefighters and friends, seven members of the North Hudson Regional Fire & Rescue were promoted at Fire Headquarters on June 22nd.

The master of ceremonies was Deputy Chief Nicholas Gazzillo, who was on his last tour of duty, retiring after 35-years of service. He began his career with the former North Bergen Fire Department.

Officials of the Management Board, representing the five municipalities protected by the regional department, participated in the ceremony. Weehawken Mayor Richard F. Turner is the Chairman of the Management Board.

Fire Chief Michael Falco swore in the members receiving promotions. He told them that they were ready to move on. “Preparation is ongoing.” He added, to know and understand what the department expects from you. Read, network, learn from others within the department and outside of the department. Challenge yourself-continue to learn.

Promoted were: Alider Pratts to deputy chief; William P. Stolc to battalion chief; Michael Novembre, Salvatore Degennaro, Russell Williams, Thomas Kross and Ernesto Camejo to captain.
