Clifton, NJ - A quick response and attack kept damage to a minimum at a two-alarm fire in Clifton on June 20th. The late afternoon fire at 14 Bakers Ct. had black smoke issuing from the second floor as companies arrived at the frame dwelling. A second-alarm was transmitted as two lines were stretched in the front door as Ladder 3 vented the structure. The fire was quickly located and extinguished. The fire was placed under control in less than a half hour, with no injuries reported.
