NORWICH, CT - At 7:58 A.M. on June 21st, the Yantic Fire Co. was dispatched to Route 2 eastbound, between Exit 29 and Backus Hospital, for a car accident with fire. Car 38 arrived at 8:00 A.M. reporting one vehicle on fire with everyone out of the cars.
Engine 33 arrived at 8:08 A.M. with two vehicles fully involved and stretched a one-and-three-quarter-inch hose line. Engine 32 arrived next and gave their tank water to Engine 33. Command requested East Great Plain’s ET-51 for water. American Ambulance transported multiple patients.
