Chopmist Hill Firefighters Assist at Working Structure Fire on Knight Hill Road

Providence, RI - The Chopmist Hill Volunteer Fire Department responded to a working structure fire on Knight Hill Road as part of a town-wide response involving all Scituate fire stations.


Upon arrival, crews from the Potterville Volunteer Fire Department reported smoke showing from a 1½-story wood-frame dwelling and transmitted a Code Red.


With Engine 62 out of service for repairs, Tanker 61, Brush 63, and Unit 68 responded. Firefighters assisted with overhaul and extinguishment operations, with 11 members operating on scene for approximately 1.5 hours.


The department extends its appreciation to the Special Signal Fire Association/Providence Canteen and the mutual aid departments that provided RIT, water supply, and station coverage assistance during the incident
