Mutual Aid Response Sent to Raystown Resort Lodge

Saxton, PA. — June 14 — Following a reported carbon monoxide alarm, the Saxton Volunteer Fire Company responded to the Lake Raystown Resort Lodge as part of a mutual aid assignment. When workers arrived, they looked into the activation and discovered a propane leak in a utility room. Truck 35 employees, under the direction of Chief 3, helped with air monitoring, securing the propane supply, and venting the impacted area.
Additionally, Unit 15 responded to support and hydrate operating troops on the scene. There were no reported injuries. When managing potentially dangerous conditions in business occupancies, the incident illustrated the importance of comprehensive alarm investigations and coordinated mutual help activities.
