Smoke Condition Leads to Early Morning Commercial Fire on Platt Road

Shelton, CT - Firefighters responded to a commercial building on Platt Road after an activated fire alarm escalated into a working fire.
Upon arrival, the Chief of Department observed a smoke condition coming from the structure, prompting an upgraded response. Additional companies were dispatched to the scene, where firefighters forced entry and located a small contents fire inside the building.
Crews quickly brought the fire under control, preventing further damage and confirming the structure remained habitable. No injuries were reported. The Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause.
