Neptune Fire Company Responded to Wildlife-Related Accident

Tyrone, Pa. — June 17 — Engine 34 of Neptune Fire Company responded to a reported single-vehicle collision in Snyder Township. Following dispatch for a car accident with no reported casualties, Captain Witchley and a crew of five joined Rescue 33.


When firefighters arrived, they discovered a car that had struck a bear and was off the road. Responders verified that there was no trapping and that the individual was unharmed. At the scene, Captain Witchley assumed command and oversaw activities. Crews helped with traffic safety, secured the area, and inspected the car for dangers. Responding units cleared the location after finishing their tasks, and the incident was resolved without any issues.
