On June 4, the Franklin Fire Company's Squad 41 and Brush 44 responded to a brush fire that had expanded beyond the homeowner's control due to an unmanaged trash burn.

Squad 41 was returning from a public relations event when the call was made, according to officials. Before the fire could grow farther into the nearby foliage, firefighters came and fought to control and put it out.

Tanker 13 from the Letterkenny Army Depot Fire Department helped with water delivery operations as part of the reaction.
