Mutual Aid Crews Responded to Marshfield Collision

CABOT, VT — May 15th — At a two-vehicle collision with airbag deployment on US-2 in Marshfield Village, the Cabot, Vermont Volunteer Fire Department responded as mutual aid to support the Marshfield Fire Department. Firefighters helped remove one of the damaged cars from the road and helped clean up the scene. Responders from East Montpelier Ambulance and Plainfield Fire and Fast Squad also arrived, evaluating several passengers from both cars for injuries.


Several authorities came together to handle the situation and safely reestablish traffic flow. In addition to stressing the value of wearing seatbelts, remaining vigilant, and driving carefully on crowded roads, emergency officials cautioned drivers that traffic increases throughout the summer.
