Crews Contain Nearly 40-Acre Brush Fire in Indiantown

Martin, FL - Martin County Fire Rescue units responded to a large brush fire in the 2600 block of Southwest Warfield Boulevard in Indiantown. The fire burned approximately 37.8 acres before crews brought it under control.


Firefighters worked alongside the Florida Forest Service, which established plow lines to help contain the spread. The MCFR drone team assisted by identifying hot spots and ensuring full containment before crews cleared the scene.


No injuries were reported, and no structures were threatened. The cause of the fire remains under investigation, Initial reports suggest it may have been a holdover fire, potentially sparked by a previous lightning strike
