Brooksville, FL - The Hernando County Fire Rescue responded to a commercial fire in the 2400 block of American Flyer Way in Brooksville after reports of smoke within a building.

Upon arrival, crews observed smoke coming from one of the garage bays and were advised that an employee remained inside. Firefighters quickly initiated an interior operation and safely located and removed the individual without injury.

Following multiple thorough searches and evaluations of the structure, crews determined the smoke was caused by overheating machinery rather than an active fire. The situation was brought under control, and no injuries were reported.
