Martin, FL - Martin County Fire Rescue units responded to a residential structure fire on Southeast St. Lucie Boulevard in Stuart. Crews arrived to find fire conditions on the second floor, with flames impacting two bedrooms.

Firefighters quickly brought the fire under control, stopping further extension and preventing it from spreading to the rest of the home.

All occupants were safely out of the residence, and no injuries were reported. Stuart Fire Rescue and the Martin County Sheriff’s Office assisted on scene.

Initial reports indicate a possible lightning strike as the cause. The State Fire Marshal’s Office has been notified and will investigate.
