Weare Fire Rescue personnel arrived at the South Weare Mobile Home Park on June 4th in response to a reported outdoor fire.

When firemen arrived, they found that a minor grass fire between two mobile homes had been started by sparks from a trash truck colliding with overhead power lines. In order to prevent the fire from spreading to neighboring buildings, crews promptly evaluated the situation.

Forestry 1 and Engine 2 were on the scene for almost an hour, according to officials, helping with scene operations and fire control. The event was contained before major damage was done, and no injuries were reported.
